Halloween Party @ Becca's House

We had some friends over this Halloween. I really enjoyed handing out candy to the kids, decorating my own house and carving our pumpkins..

Becca's 20th Birthday @ Mt. Lemmon

Sooo as a tradition, my friends and I have been going to Mt. Lemmon to celebrate my birthday for the past 3 years. The last couple times we've stayed in the same cabin. However, it was booked this time so we got to check out another cabin (which turned out to be better in my opinion) it had a bigger balcony outside, amazing views, and most importantly for us ladies..two bathrooms! haha. Here are some pics from the trip...
Here's us girls on the balcony
(Michaela, me, Robbin, Amanda)

Me & my boyfriend Jeremy
Amanda & Michaela
We find this exact rock every year haha. Notice the background is um..boringggg, that's because of the fire from a few years ago, but we still had to take the pic. after all, it is a tradition, right?
This is one of my favs..we were attacking Jeremy. I was trying to jump kick him in the head haha. we had him cornered. sucker! haha
We had a lot of fun & the weather was perfect :)

Becca Needs Surgery

Soooo the last time I was in Utah I started having these horrible pains in my stomach and my back. I could barely breathe or even move, it was really bad! I had another painful attack a month after that, so I went to the doctor and got blood work done. Then they scheduled an ultrasound and discovered I had multiple gall stones. Lucky me right?! I had a visit with the surgeon and he said that I need surgery to remove my gallbladder. I have heard some pretty scary stuff about this, and i'm freaked out, not gonna lie about that! I will have about 4 incisions and I will be out of school and work for up to 2 weeks. On the bright side, I will have time to sleep and relax haha. I go in for surgery on Monday November 2nd at 5:30 in the morning. I can't eat or drink anything after midnight the night before surgery. I will keep you posted and I will upload some pics after surgery. Wish me luck!!!

New Addition to the Family

This is Natalie! She is a Shetland Sheep dog and she will be 5 months on the 22nd! I got her last night at Petland. Sammy still doesn't know what to think about her. He is giving me the cold shoulder because he thinks I've replaced him. Poor Sammy haha. It will take him a while, but he will adjust to it. Natalie sits in Sammy's spot on the couch, and on my bed, so that might be part of the problem haha. She and Sammy are both going with me to my house! :) My cute little family!
Meet Natalie!
Of course I had to get her a hot pink collar....and leash haha. She's my dog after all

One day they will get along haha, just not today

Her new bed. We used Sammy's old kennel

I had to buy these bowls because they reminded me of Victoria's Secret! haha

Tile/Painting My Room

So the tile is coming out great and they should be done within a few days! Here's how it looks...

The tile is the same color, it just looks different in the pics

My Room.....BEFORE

I painted it black to match with my black and white zebra bed set :)

My bathroom is next to come! I am painting/decorating it Victoria's Secret themed! :) I'm way excited!

Staining My Cabinets/New Paint

Sooo to go with the whole color theme of my house, I couldn't leave the cabinets a light color, so of course I had to do something about it....stain them of course! Welllll I thought it would be a breeze, but this is no easy task. We started off with brushes, like it recommends on the can, but it came out really streaky and not how I wanted...as you will see in the pics haha. Luckily, Dad came with the sprayer and helped us out! Dad to the rescue! Thanks to him my cabinets turned out perfect! :) Check it out!....

The first thrifty thing i've done haha

Well Christie, you will be proud of me! I needed black furniture for my new bedroom, so instead of buying new ones, spending more $ and wasting the furniture I have now, I sanded and painted my desk myself! and I will paint the other ones soon! (with this sprayer/can and of course with dad's help and supervision haha)
Here's the before pic:

Ok I supervised sometimes too haha. doing good dad!!!

Dad showing me how

My turn now! ha

Holding the light and spraying at the same time...skills! haha

And the final product! :) i'm proud of myself haha. Now only 3 more to go haha ohhh goshh

Stuff for My House!!!

So lately i've been spending a lot of time in Home Depot, and I pretty much found what I was looking for!...Here's what i'm thinking of doing...
Here's the carpet i'm getting in the livingroom, Jeremy's room (roommate), and then my bedroom.

The maroon "red red wine" will be the color of my livingroom, and the 2nd tanish color is the kitchen and game room, and the darkest color is the hallway and laundry room. p.s. the carpet looks darker in this pic, but it's actually lighter like in the pic above this. f.y.i haha.

Here's the paint colors against the tile i'm getting in the gameroom (entry way), kitchen, hallway, laundry room, and both bathrooms!

Here's the tile again...
Here's the lock/handle that I want for my front door. I still have to see if it would match.
and one of these lights will be above my kitchen table!
Potential guest bathroom light. (above the sink)
Livingroom fan. the blades are reversible, so of course I would have them black to match with everything else haha
The 3 light one will go in my kitchen, I might have to find a black one though. we'll see.

I really really want a black sink, but i would have to measure it and see :)

Potential kitchen faucet

p.s. My house is getting painted on Monday, and we come back from vacay on the 8th and it will be painted by then :) so i get to see the beginning of the transformation! I am beyond excited!!! :)

I wish you guys were here to see it and give me your opinion, but you will have to see it when it's done! :)
